#1. Make sure they're properly licensed, not every handyman is, and licensing matters when it comes to safety and accountability.
#2. Ask to see past projects, not just photos, but references you can actually call.
#3. Get everything in writing, from the scope of work to the payment schedule, so there's no confusion down the road.

Meet Chase, owner and leader of Flint Contracting.

People are his passion and his why. Subcontractors who show up and do it right, customers chasing a vision they can finally see clearly. It's about the people. Every project, every time.

Outside of work, Chase is usually outside! Hunting, fishing, or coaching his son's soccer team on the weekends - anything that gets him out of the truck and into the open air.

👉 Chase's most helpful bit of advice? Remember that building a home brings more decisions than most people ever expect! He and the Flint Contracting team take pride in sorting the essential from the noise, without cutting a corner on the finished product.

Chase's wife is a civil engineer, so more than a few of his favorite projects have turned into true team efforts, hers on paper and his in the field.
