On October 1, our Safety Team launched the Line of Fire Campaign—an initiative focused on recognizing and preventing one of the most common sources of serious workplace injuries.

In our industry, employees can be exposed to hazards such as moving equipment, suspended loads, stored energy, pinch points, and other dangers that can change in an instant. Understanding where these hazards exist, and where we position ourselves in relation to them, is critical to working safely.

The purpose of this campaign is simple: raise awareness, recognize Line of Fire exposures, and eliminate them before an incident occurs.

At Sealevel, safety is more than a policy or procedure. It means looking out for one another, speaking up when something doesn’t look right, and making the choice to put ourselves and our coworkers in the safest position possible.

Know the Line. Respect the Line. Stay Away from the Line of Fire.

Eagle DMS is proud to operate from our new marine facility in Bourg, Louisiana, expanding our capabilities and creating more opportunities to serve our customers across the Gulf Coast.

Located along the Intracoastal Waterway, our 20-acre facility provides direct access to the Mississippi River, Gulf of Mexico, and other major Gulf Coast waterways. The yard features approximately 2,000 feet of bulkhead, stabilized ground rated at approximately 5,000 PSF, and the capacity to support large-scale fabrication, marine construction, and repair projects.

Our 700-ton travel lift, with 65 feet of interior clearance, also allows us to accommodate larger vessels and expand our drydocking capabilities.

With the space, waterfront access, and equipment to take on larger and more complex projects, Eagle’s new facility expands our capabilities and strengthens our ability to serve the marine industry.

Sealevel is wrapping up the Buquet Bridge project in Dulac, Louisiana, which included the replacement and upgrades of the existing bridge span.

The work included structural steel upgrades, along with improvements to critical mechanical and electrical components, with electrical work performed by Rodrigue's Electrical Service. The new lift span was installed in April, marking a major milestone for the project.

We’re proud to have played a major role in another project that strengthens vital infrastructure in Louisiana, and we’re grateful to everyone who helped bring it to completion.
