This morning, we joined the North Carolina Department of Transportation to celebrate the opening of the I-74/I-40 interchange. This nearly $308M project will transform travel throughout the Triad region. 👷

Work scope included 2.7 miles of new I-74 construction and 3 miles of improvements to I-40 which will strengthen regional connectivity, enhance safety, and improve traffic flow for thousands of drivers every day. 🚧

This $272M project represents the largest capital investment in Georgetown’s History. Since the start of construction, the city has seen a nearly 50% increase in population, leading to the need for water infrastructure projects such as this one.
