The birdhouses are complete!

After weeks of designing and building, our Dollhouse Workshop participants have finished their custom creation for the St. Anthony of Padua Annual Gala 2027. The birdhouse reflects a unique architectural vision and the hard work these students invested throughout the summer.

Congratulations to everyone involved, we're proud to have watched this idea come to life!

The creativity continues! Our Dollhouse Workshop participants are putting the finishing touches on their custom birdhouse for the St. Anthony of Padua Annual Gala 2027. Throughout the process, students have explored design concepts, craftsmanship, and creative problem-solving while transforming ideas into reality.

For this project, early planning studies, program diagrams, sketches, and site analysis helped shape a home that feels deeply connected to the surrounding landscape. From the organization of shared and private spaces to the intentional placement of the residence within the natural terrain, each design decision was carefully considered to create a timeless Prairie Modern home rooted in both function and experience.

From above, this custom home begins to reveal its overall composition that was guided by proportion, placement, and a deep response to its surrounding landscape.

Every design decision starts with understanding the land. The home was carefully planned to feel naturally rooted within its setting, responding to views, topography, and the character of the property. Strong horizontal lines and expansive roof forms establish a clear Prairie Modern language that ties architecture to site.

This aerial perspective highlights the early vision behind the residence, where form and landscape are developed in tandem to create a cohesive architectural expression.
