Community support is at the heart of Triumph Construction’s mission — throughout the year and especially during the holidays. This week, we were proud to once again play Santa to the wonderful boys and girls at La Peninsula Head Start in Hunts Point. Each year, the students write letters to Santa and Triumph purchases and wraps everything on the children’s gift lists. Seeing the smiles on their faces is truly a highlight of our year!

Construction Yard Staff Needed DAY/NIGHT (Hunts Point)
compensation: 17 to 27 an hour depending on skills and qualifications

This Yard Person position requires being able to drive equipment and keep the yard clean and organized. The Yard Person must be able to work outside exposed to various types of weather. The right candidate will have good people skills, have perfect attendance and follow directions.
• · Report any damage to equipment found during check-ins to the supervisor/manager.
• · Stages equipment for deliveries
• · Ensures yard and shop are neat and picks up yard/shop waste
• · Must be able to proficiently and safely operate all equipment
• · Assist yard check-ins and check-outs
• · May be required to drive company vehicle on occasions
• · Other duties or tasks may be assigned on an as-needed basis
• Separate and move items according to correct locations within the recycling yard with appropriate equipment--bobcats, forklifts, etc.
• Qualifications:
• · Must a valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record
• · must have skills to work with hands
• · Must possess good organizational skills
• · Must be a highly motivated self-starter
• · Must be able to safely operate equipment
• · Must be able to follow directions.

We are looking for a skilled Mechanic to assemble, maintain and repair machinery and vehicles. You will be responsible for ensuring functionality and reliability of machines, engines and mechanical systems. An excellent mechanic must have manual dexterity and great attention to detail. They must be able to work with various machines and tools as well as follow all safety precautions.
Full time small tools mechanic must have strong mechanical and technical aptitude. Problem solving skills and close attention to detail also are necessary. must be able to repair: demo saws, chain saws, various pneumatic "jack hammers" tools, gas/electric/hydraulic water pumps, various hydraulic tools. Perform routine engine maintenance and service. must be able to read diagrams and order parts also keep detailed track of repaired and serviced equipment. overtime is available. please contact for more details.
Responsibilities
• Build and assemble machines or mechanical components according to requirements
• Inspect machines, engines etc. and run diagnostic tests to discover functionality issues
• Conduct repairs aiming for maximum reliability
• Troubleshoot reported problems and resolve them in a timely manner
• Perform thorough maintenance on machinery, equipment and systems
• Clean and apply lubricants to machinery components
• Replenish fluids and components of engines and machinery
• Provide consultation on correct maintenance and preventative measures to machine or vehicle users
• Undertake other duties as assigned (e.g. repair of hydraulic systems, etc.)
• Keep logs of work and report on issues
Skills
• Proven experience as a Mechanic
• Excellent knowledge of machinery and hydraulic, electrical and other systems and their components
• Aptitude in using various hand tools (screwdrivers, hammers etc.) and precision measurement tools
• Ability to follow established procedures and practices and read instruction, blueprints etc.
• A strong commitment to all health and safety guidelines
• Very good communication skills
• A problem-solving ability
• High school diploma is preferred; Certification from a vocational school or completion of apprenticeship is a definite plus

• $20.00 - $30.00 per hour

More than 120 girls and boys at La Peninsula Head Start in Hunts Point were once again treated to a great holiday tradition thanks to a caring neighbor — Triumph Construction. Each year, the students write letters to Santa and Triumph purchases and wraps everything on the children’s gift lists. Spreading the holiday joy this December were (left to right) Triumph’s Shirley Jacobs, Krystina Cuzzi, and Rachel D’Agostino. Triumph Construction is proud and honored to support the community and help brighten the holidays for these terrific young students.

We are looking for a reliable Construction Project Manager to plan construction projects and oversee their progress in a timely and cost-effective manner. You will be responsible for budgeting, organization, implementation and scheduling of the projects. Be experienced in NYCDDC, NYCEDC, and other city agencies paperwork.
Responsibilities
• Oversee and direct construction projects from conception to completion
• Review the project in-depth to schedule deliverables and estimate costs
• Oversee all onsite and offsite constructions to monitor compliance with building
and safety regulations
• Coordinate and direct construction workers and subcontractors
• Select tools, materials and equipment and track inventory
• Meet contractual conditions of performance
• Review the work progress on daily basis
• Prepare internal and external reports pertaining to job status
• Plan ahead to prevent problems and resolve any emerging ones
• Negotiate terms of agreements, and obtain permits and licenses
• Analyse, manage and mitigate risks
• Ensure quality construction standards and the use of proper construction
techniques
Requirements
• Proven working experience in construction management
• Advanced knowledge of construction management processes, means and
methods
• Expert knowledge of construction products & materials, construction details and
relevant rules, regulations and quality standards
• Understanding of all facets of the construction process
• Familiarity with construction management software packages
• Ability to plan and see the “big picture”
• Competent in conflict and crisis management
• Leadership and management skills
• Excellent time and project management skills
