Another major Brooklyn project is getting underway at 80 Wharf Way in South Williamsburg! We recently installed the starter legs for the first of two Favco M440 external tower cranes planned for the site, part of Phase II of the expansive Williamsburg Wharf waterfront development.
Developed by Naftali Group and Access Industries, this phase will feature two residential towers reaching approximately 415 and 460 feet and delivering 363 condominium residences.
New Line Structures is serving as General Contractor, with Precise Construction Contracting performing the concrete work and Valjato Engineering, P.C. providing the tower crane engineering. With the first starter legs now in place, we’re looking forward to seeing both Favco M440S rise over the Brooklyn waterfront.

Safety never takes a day off!
Our Favco M440 diesel tower crane recently underwent a comprehensive inspection while in service, as part of the regular inspections U.S. Crane & Rigging performs throughout a project’s life. The inspection included a detailed wire rope inspection, along with checks of the crane’s structural and mechanical components, operating systems, and critical safety equipment.
Once a tower crane is erected, inspections and maintenance continue throughout its time on the jobsite. Regularly monitoring our equipment helps identify wear, address potential issues, and keep our cranes operating safely and reliably as construction progresses.

We developed the recovery plan in conjunction with Valjato Engineering. The engineered plan was submitted to and approved by the Miami-Dade Building Department before the recovery operation began.

At  61- 40 Mount Olivet Crescent in Queens, our powerful Liebherr LTM 1250mobile crane, configured with 128,000 lbs. of counterweight, completed the first stage of a two-part operation to install new cremation equipment for our client,   Matthew’s International. Stage 1 called for carefully lifting and placing the new equipment into the parking lot, where it was positioned for staging ahead of the next phase of the project.
Stage 2 is scheduled to take place in two weeks, when our crew will return to complete the next phase of the installation. Stay tuned!
