Fertilizing after Aerating will lead to big gains. Take full advantage of all of the great things that Aerating does. Once we have created a pathway to the roots of your lawn make sure and fertilize followed by watering and within weeks you will see a huge difference. Too many times customers will call and ask me to aerate but not fertilize. It is perfectly OK but more often then not when they do fertilize on their own the application rate is too low and they don't water it enough or for long enough. I like to see light water for the first 48 hours followed by heavy watering for at least 3 days after that. Then you can go back to a watering lightly daily.

Let's cover 5 facts addressing valid concerns from my customers regarding Aeration.

1) It is not necessary to water your yard prior to Aerating as long as the Company you hire has an adequate commercial ride on machine. The weight of the machine will determine the ability to core thru tough ground. YARD WERX has the adequate equipment to Core Aerate compacted dry Clay.

2) It is not necessary to cut your grass before Aerating as long as the Company you hire has an adequate Commercial ride on machine. The weight is also important for the ability to core thru thick grass. YARD WERX has the adequate equipment to core thru thick grass.

3) You can Aerate yards with sprinklers. Yes Aerating does not harm your sprinkler lines or heads. YARD WERX has aerated lots of yards with sprinkler systems and we have never damaged any of them!

4) My yard is too small for an Aerator. We Aerate all sizes of yards! Some large some tiny and everything in between. YARD WERX equipment fits thru any standard back yard gate. We have had a few that we did not because the gate was not built to the correct size. Those customers usually have us Aerate their front yards.

5) You should only Aerate when rain is in the forecast. Aerating definitely helps your lawn retain moisture. You really need to aerate so your lawn can receive watering from a sprinkler as well. Too many lawns are compacted from pets and lawn mowing. So when we water our lawns alot of it just runs off and down the drain. It does not get absorbed.

Aerating reduces compaction. Less compaction equals more water absorption. Watering a lawn can get expensive! Aerate twice a year and you will see multiple benefits with our Southeast Texas Clay yards. We are currently Aerating 10 yards a week. Lots of new clients and return clients. We added a new ride on unit to our equiment list. It will allow us to Aerate year around. It is capable of Core Aerating even when the ground is dry. Perfect for preparing a yard when rain is in the short or long term forecast. After a long stretch of dry weather your yard can become compacted to a point where your sprinkler water just runs off when you attempt to water your yard. Yard Werx can come I'm and Aerate and open up your soil so water can get down to your lawn roots. It can really turn your yard around and save it from thinning out and weeds taking over!
