🤔 How long does it take to scramble an egg on a roof in 100° weather in Texas?
🏠 We really don't know... we're too busy installing quality roofs for homeowners.
💡 But if we had to guess, we'd say way too long because... 😂⏲😒
On a typical 100°F Texas summer day: a dark asphalt roof can reach approximate temperatures of 150° to 170°, whereas a frying pan is well above 250°, so
• The egg white might start turning cloudy after 30–60 minutes.
• After 1–2 hours, parts of the egg may become firmer.
• But, in most cases, the egg would dry out or partially cook rather than become a fully cooked fried egg.
That being said, our roofs get hot enough to make you think you could fry an egg—but not quite hot enough to make breakfast! So, don't try it! 😁☝️
