Getting it out of the house was only half the problem. 🌳👷🌲
This storm-damaged Oak had an entire stem fail into and through the roof of the home. Crane access was limited, and there wasn’t a landing zone anywhere on this job that touched dirt.
We carefully worked through the brush and limbs until we were left with roughly 20 feet of log still suspended over the house.
A little mechanical advantage, a whole lot of rope, and a plan to control the log’s movement allowed us to clear the punctures in the roof, turn the remaining section, and safely lower it onto the deck without causing any additional damage to the home or the deck itself.
Sometimes making the cut is the easy part. Figuring out how to put a piece of tree somewhere it doesn’t want to go, without tearing anything else up in the process, is the fun part. 🤘
When it just can’t fall, you know who to call. 🌲
