🏠 REALTORS & HOME SELLERS — LET’S TALK ABOUT THE ROOF BEFORE THE HOUSE HITS THE MARKET.
When preparing a home for sale, there’s always a list:
Paint the walls.
Declutter.
Clean up the landscaping.
Pressure wash.
Make repairs.
Improve curb appeal.
The roof needs to be part of that conversation, too.
If the asphalt shingle roof is aging but still in good, serviceable condition, Rooster’s Roof Rejuvenation may be able to restore its appearance, improve shingle flexibility and extend its useful life — for a fraction of the cost of replacement.
But here’s the important part:
👉 That conversation needs to happen BEFORE the home hits the market.
Why?
Because once a potential buyer looks at an older, dried-out roof and says:
“I want a new roof.”
Rejuvenation is probably out the window.
At that point, the buyer has already decided there’s a roof problem, and now everybody is negotiating around the cost of a replacement.
Instead, let’s get ahead of it.
Have us inspect the roof before listing the home. If it qualifies for rejuvenation, we can treat it up front so prospective buyers see a clean, healthy-looking, rejuvenated roof when they first see the property — not an old roof that immediately becomes a negotiating point.
And for Realtors, let’s talk about options for handling the rejuvenation cost as part of the closing process when appropriate. The key is having that conversation early enough to build it into the plan instead of scrambling after an offer is already on the table.
Roof rejuvenation isn’t for every roof. If a roof truly needs replacement, we’ll tell you that.
But if the roof still has life left in it, why let its appearance become a $10,000+ negotiating problem when it may have been addressed before the FOR SALE sign ever went in the yard?
🏡 Paint it. Clean it. Declutter it. Landscape it. And don’t forget the roof.
Let’s make roof evaluation part of the pre-listing checklist.
