Canyon State Electric

Canyon State Electric The Electricians Who Can — your single-source solution for electrical construction in Arizona. 100% employee-owned.

Canyon State Electric is the single-source solution for electrical construction services in the Southwest. Founded in 1978 by Steven Maderazzo, CSE is now led by CEOs Stephanie Maderazzo-Hughes and Christopher Maderazzo. The company's single location is headquartered in Phoenix, AZ, where nearly 100 electrical, life safety, and maintenance experts serve the surrounding community. Canyon State Elec

tric understands the challenges contractors, developers, and business owners face from design to project closeout. Using innovative virtual design and construction techniques, CSE builds more stable structures while saving money and shortening project timelines. A business relationship with CSE doesn't end when a construction project is complete— Canyon State Electric protects your investment for years to come. Canyon State Electric's design-build construction method makes it possible to complete projects even faster with fewer external contracts. Electrical construction experts manage everything in-house— design, engineering, and coding approvals, eliminating the typical cost and schedule growth common with other building methods. Clients have seen quicker delivery speeds with lower unit costs through design-build projects. When you partner with Canyon State Electric on a project, your investment strengthens the community. CSE creates more sustainable structures while supporting charities with local initiatives like the American Heart Association, Phoenix Children's Hospital, and Feed My Starving Children. With a trustworthy partner like Canyon State Electric, you can produce longer-lasting structures, increase revenue, and fortify your client relationships.

At our Sky Harbor Logistics project, our VDC team is helping turn coordinated digital plans into precise field installation points before the work goes in.

Using construction layout technology onsite allows our team to transfer information directly from the model to the field, helping improve accuracy, reduce layout time, and keep installation aligned with the coordinated design.

It’s one of the ways VDC connects planning with execution—giving our field teams better information, earlier, so they can build with confidence.

Projects are built by people, and last Friday, we had the chance to spend some time with the team making one of our projects happen.

Field lunches give us an opportunity to get out of the office, connect with our crews where the work is happening, and recognize the skill and effort behind every milestone. On a project of this scale, progress depends on people showing up every day, solving problems, coordinating with one another, and taking pride in the work they leave behind.

We’re proud of the team representing Canyon State Electric on site and grateful for everything they’re putting into this project.

Progress at the Ivy Brain Tumor Center continues to take shape through the work of our field team.

Our electricians are advancing lighting infrastructure, supporting power needs for HVAC controls, and coordinating electrical adjustments throughout the space as construction moves forward.

Behind each of these updates is a team focused on keeping the project moving safely, efficiently, and in step with the evolving needs of the facility.

The work happening today will help support an environment built for research, treatment, and patient care for years to come. We’re proud of the team helping bring that mission to life and of the role Canyon State Electric plays in supporting a facility that will serve patients, families, physicians, and researchers across our community.

Building Arizona starts with strong relationships.

Our team had a great time attending the Arizona Construction Expo and connecting face to face with general contractors, fellow trade partners, suppliers, and industry professionals from across the state.

Events like this create an opportunity to strengthen existing partnerships, build new connections, and stay engaged with the people helping move Arizona’s commercial construction industry forward.

Thank you to ASA Arizona, Arizona Builders Alliance, and Associated Minority Contractors of Arizona for bringing the industry together for another great event.

We’re proud to be part of the construction community building what’s next for Arizona.

Reliable communication can’t be left to chance, especially inside complex buildings.

CSE Technologies helps verify that emergency responder communication systems perform where they’re needed most. Through BDA/ERCES testing, our team evaluates in-building radio coverage, identifies weak signal areas, and helps ensure critical public safety communications remain clear throughout the facility.

From initial testing and system design to installation and final verification, we help building owners and project teams meet code requirements while delivering a system built to perform when it matters.

That’s the value of having specialized technology expertise on the job from the start.

See how collaboration between our Prefab Manager and General Foreman keeps production moving from the shop to the field. ⚡

By prefabricating the MC feeder hangers, our team was able to:

• Install the hangers across an 80,000-square-foot level in one day with just two electricians
• Begin pulling feeders the following day
• Complete the east and west sides of the floor in only half a day each

This is what prefabrication looks like in action: fewer installation hours, efficient use of manpower, and a field team positioned to move directly into the next phase of work.

Great work by everyone involved in keeping this project moving.

This week, some of our team took part in QPR Gatekeeper Training, led by Matt Thesing with the 4x5 Su***de Prevention Program.

The training helped participants learn how to recognize su***de warning signs, reduce stigma, offer hope, and connect someone in crisis with the right support.

It was another important step toward making mental health an essential part of workplace safety. We are grateful to 4x5 and Matt for bringing this valuable training to our team.
