Canyon State Electric

Canyon State Electric The Electricians Who Can — your single-source solution for electrical construction in Arizona. 100% employee-owned.

Canyon State Electric is the single-source solution for electrical construction services in the Southwest. Founded in 1978 by Steven Maderazzo, CSE is now led by CEOs Stephanie Maderazzo-Hughes and Christopher Maderazzo. The company's single location is headquartered in Phoenix, AZ, where nearly 100 electrical, life safety, and maintenance experts serve the surrounding community. Canyon State Elec

tric understands the challenges contractors, developers, and business owners face from design to project closeout. Using innovative virtual design and construction techniques, CSE builds more stable structures while saving money and shortening project timelines. A business relationship with CSE doesn't end when a construction project is complete— Canyon State Electric protects your investment for years to come. Canyon State Electric's design-build construction method makes it possible to complete projects even faster with fewer external contracts. Electrical construction experts manage everything in-house— design, engineering, and coding approvals, eliminating the typical cost and schedule growth common with other building methods. Clients have seen quicker delivery speeds with lower unit costs through design-build projects. When you partner with Canyon State Electric on a project, your investment strengthens the community. CSE creates more sustainable structures while supporting charities with local initiatives like the American Heart Association, Phoenix Children's Hospital, and Feed My Starving Children. With a trustworthy partner like Canyon State Electric, you can produce longer-lasting structures, increase revenue, and fortify your client relationships.

Efficiency in action at Canyon State Electric! ⚡

Our Prefabrication Manager is giving a behind-the-scenes look at how our VDC team’s designs are coming to life for our Life Time Living project. By pre-building these feeder hangers, we’re streamlining the entire process.

Once these racks hit the job site, they are already sectioned off by floor, allowing our team to strap the MCs and go. The result? Installations are completed in a quarter of the time!

When subcontractors have a voice, the entire construction industry moves forward.

Canyon State Electric President Robert Hughes and CEO Stephanie Hughes recently joined ASA Arizona and ASA National leaders in Washington, D.C. for the 2026 ASA Legislative Fly-In, meeting with lawmakers and congressional staff to advocate for policies that support subcontractors and strengthen the construction industry.

These conversations are an important reminder that advocacy is about more than policy. It is about protecting the people and businesses who help build our communities every day.

CSE is proud to stand with ASA Arizona and ASA National in advancing subcontractors, supporting workforce development, and helping shape a stronger future for construction.

A little friendly competition never hurt. 🌽

Our Canyon State Electric team had a great time participating in DPR Construction’s co****le tournament! We were proud to not only compete, but also sponsor an event that brought together industry partners for a fun day of connection, teamwork, and a little jobsite-to-bags-board competition.

Events like this are a great reminder of the strong relationships that help move our industry forward, both on and off the jobsite.

Thank you to DPR Construction for hosting and bringing everyone together. We were proud to be part of it!

Innovation in healthcare construction starts long before installation begins.

Through Virtual Design & Construction, Canyon State Electric helps project teams visualize complex electrical systems early, coordinate more effectively, and reduce challenges before they reach the field.

In healthcare environments, that planning matters. From critical infrastructure to patient-focused spaces, every system needs to be carefully coordinated, reliable, and built to support the people who depend on it.

That’s where VDC helps turn complexity into clarity, and where The Electricians Who Can bring planning, precision, and dependable ex*****on together.

Our team recently delivered lunch to one of our field crews at one of our medical projects, and it was a great reminder of the impact our electricians make every day.

Behind every healthcare facility are the skilled hands, careful planning, and steady dedication of the field teams bringing critical electrical systems to life. Their work supports spaces where patients receive care, medical teams do their jobs, and communities depend on safe, reliable infrastructure.

We’re proud of the craftsmanship, commitment, and teamwork this crew continues to bring to the jobsite. Thank you for representing Canyon State Electric with pride and helping power projects that truly matter.
