Conceived as a fully functioning horticultural space, The Elford Park Garden and Greenhouse are designed to support daily use. The structure is visually unified through the application of Shou Sugi Ban cladding across both roof and wall assemblies, creating a continuous exterior system. Installed across vertical and horizontal planes, the material reinforces a cohesive architectural expression while accommodating the functional demands of a working garden environment.
“The material was selected for its high durability with the goal of having both the walls and roof patina over time with the landscape and to reinforce the structure’s integration into the garden.” – Aaron Trampush, Analog Architects
