Milling and pulverization both start with worn pavement, but they fix different problems.
Milling removes only the damaged top layer and leaves the underlying structure in place, so a new overlay can go down. It's often a good fit for ruts, potholes, minor surface deterioration, cracking and raveling when the structure below is still solid.
Pulverization goes deeper. It's a full-depth recycling method: the existing asphalt and base are broken down together, recycled right on site, then graded and compacted into a new, stable foundation. It's most appropriate for heavily deteriorated pavement that needs a fresh start.
The right choice depends on your pavement's condition and your long-term goals. A site evaluation tells us which approach fits: https://alsasphalt.com/asphalt-milling-and-pulverization/
