Another highly scientific evening at FigMamma Farms…
Two taste testers, a few ripe figs, and absolutely no self-control. 😂
CAUTION: Taste responsibly. Figs may be habit-forming.

Who knew some of what feeds our figs starts so close to home?

Neptune’s Harvest takes what’s left from their own fish processing and gives it another purpose—turning it into fertilizer that feeds our soil instead of becoming waste.

A third-generation New England family business proving that sometimes the best way forward is simply not to waste what nature already gave us.

From fish to fertilizer to figs… now THAT is full circle.

An extra-special thank you to Ann for her incredible hospitality, for opening the doors of Neptune’s Harvest, and for welcoming FigMamma into a business built and strengthened through three generations.

As a young family-owned farm, there is something incredibly inspiring about standing inside a family business with that kind of history, ingenuity and staying power. Businesses like Neptune’s Harvest aren’t just neighbors—they’re pioneers, mentors and a wonderful example of what can grow when a family believes in what they do.

Thank you, Neptune’s Harvest for believing in what we’re growing, too, as a VIP Fig Fest 2026 sponsor.

From one generation learning from three—thank you, Ann.

Your friend in Figs…. And FISH 😆

First of the Col de Dame crew to ripen, and Grise certainly made a beautiful first impression.

And yes… there will be baby Col de Dame Grise trees at Fig Fest. What can I say? FigMamma aims to please.

OH YEAH… bien sûr! 🇫🇷

Fifteen years ago, Sandy Pavao-Pinaretta thought figs were purple. Then she tasted a large, yellow fig growing from an in-ground tree in Fall River — a variety she knew at the time as “Pingo …

A Fig Fest is only as good as the people willing to share what they’ve learned—and somehow we hit the fig-speaker jackpot this year.

A huge thank you to our incredible speakers for sharing their time, knowledge, stories, and love of all things FIG with our community!

A brief word from our sponsors… because even FigMamma can’t pull off this much fig nonsense alone.

Much love to our Fig Fest host and sponsors: Firefly Figs, Tiverton Farmers Market, Neptune’s Harvest, Green Matters, The Bay, The Cheese Wheel, and NOFA RI.
