🪟 THESE WERE A CHALLENGE!

Not every screen repair is as simple as replacing the mesh.

These arched window screens had some very unique corners that we had never worked with before. The corners were difficult to find, and without the right parts, repairing the existing screens was going to be a challenge.

Luckily, we connected with someone up in Virginia who does the same type of screen work and uses a 3-D printer to create custom parts. They were able to make us something that worked perfectly for these screens.

With a little problem-solving and some custom-made parts, we were able to repair the existing arched screens and get them looking beautiful again!

These were our first arch screen repairs, and we couldn’t be happier with how they turned out. 👏

THIS ONE WAS A LITTLE DIFFERENT! 🪜😳

We recently had the opportunity to replace the 15-year-old exhaust vent screens for the Salvation Army with brand-new screens.

This wasn’t your typical screen job. Some of these screens were about 30 feet in the air, which meant ladders, careful work, and definitely paying attention to where you put your feet! 😂

It was a great project for us because it shows the variety of screen work we can handle — from everyday window screen repairs and replacements to custom screens in some pretty challenging locations.

With just two of us working together, we got the old screens out and the new ones installed and looking great. Another job done! ✅

📸 We’ve been so busy… we haven’t even stopped to take pictures! 😂

We realized it’s been a couple of weeks since we’ve posted any of the work we’ve been doing — and there’s a reason for that!

Looking for a very unusual window screen corner / corner key — can anyone identify this window?

I’m trying to source a replacement outside screen-frame corner/corner key for a set of existing window screens.

The screens use a straight-cut frame, but the corner is not a standard 90° corner.
There’s two different kinds on one of them has two normal 90° corners and the other kind has 390° corners and only one different angle 

The existing corner pieces are extremely brittle. I have several screens that need to be repaired, but I cannot remove even one of the original corner keys without it breaking or completely disintegrating, so I’m trying to identify the window/frame system rather than destroy more of them.

I’m hoping someone recognizes:

* The window manufacturer or window series
* The aluminum screen-frame extrusion/profile
* The specific corner key/corner that goes with it
* Or a source for replacement corners

I’ve attached pictures showing the corner, frame profile, measurements, and the unusual angle.

If you recognize these windows or have run across this type of screen corner before, I’d really appreciate any information. Even identifying the manufacturer would give me somewhere to start looking.
