This role is ideal for an experienced accounting professional who enjoys owning key financial processes, driving accuracy, and supporting business decision-making. The Senior Staff Accountant will play a critical role in month-end close, financial reporting, account reconciliations, budgeting, audits, internal controls, and financial analysis.
What we're looking for:

We are proud to announce a leadership change at Sims Crane & Equipment.
Srdjan Vukajlovic has been appointed Chief Commercial Officer and will join Sims on October 5, 2026
Srdjan will lead the company’s sales division, with responsibility for identifying market opportunities, advancing commercial strategy, and strengthening the company’s approach to customer and revenue growth.
Srdjan brings the commercial insight and leadership experience to take our sales organization forward with a clear focus on where the greatest opportunities exist. He understands how to connect market strategy with customer needs and position a sales team to pursue meaningful, sustainable growth. We are excited to welcome him to Sims.
Srdjan brings more than 17 years of experience in commercial strategy, executive leadership, operations, and financial management. He has a proven track record of helping organizations identify opportunities for growth, strengthen business performance, and translate commercial priorities into measurable results.
His experience also includes developing scalable business processes, navigating organizational change, and building relationships across internal and external stakeholder groups. That background will support his work leading the Sims sales team and developing a coordinated approach to market expansion and customer development.
As chief commercial officer, Srdjan will focus on strengthening the sales organization and positioning Sims to capitalize on opportunities across the markets we serve.

We are proud to announce a leadership change at Sims Crane & Equipment. 
Katie MacGillivary has been appointed Chief Financial Officer and will join Sims on October 5, 2026
 
Katie MacGillivary is a Tampa-based Chief Financial Officer with a quarter-century track record of transforming financial operations and scaling businesses through acquisition, growth, and strategic exits. Named Tampa Titan 100 Honoree in 2026 and CFO of the Year in 2022, she has led numerous acquisitions, multiple exit processes, and an IPO across industries ranging from retail support and transportation to financing and logistics. 

Katie has been the CFO of Channel Partners since 2019 where she has led finance, accounting, payroll, tax, human resources and legal functions. Her prior roles include CFO of Nicholas Financial, where she oversaw SEC reporting, investor relations, and capital markets activity, as well as finance leadership at TECO Energy. She began her career at Ernst & Young and Arthur Andersen. 

MacGillivary holds an MBA from the University of Florida and a BA in Accounting from the University of Central Florida. She is also a Certified Public Accountant and a member of the Young Men’s Service League. 

We are thrilled to have Katie join us and look forward to welcoming her in October!
