After 49 years & 1 day with Steward-Mellon Co., we’re celebrating Wayne’s retirement!

Wayne has been an important part of the company’s story. From starting as a helper in 1977, moving to apprenticeship, journeyman, field foreman and finally General Superintendent, Wayne always embodied the Steward-Mellon ethos of maintaining the highest quality standards.

Nearly five decades of service is an extraordinary milestone, and we’re grateful for the experience, dedication, and leadership he brought to his work.

Wayne, thank you for all you’ve given to Steward-Mellon and for the lasting mark you leave on our company. You’ll be missed, and we wish you every happiness in this next chapter.

Congratulations on a well-earned retirement! 🎉 Enjoy spending time at your hunting camp, we look forward to enjoying some Venison.

Our CEO and Owner was honored to be featured on All Access with Andy Garcia, alongside Chad Rakow, Executive Director of the NTMA, and architect Fadi Garcia of Open Workshop for Architecture.

The conversation highlighted what we know to be true - terrazzo flooring is one of the most durable, long-lasting, and visually striking solutions available today. It’s not just a finish, it’s an investment in longevity and design.

A key focus was the importance of educating architects and specifiers on the value of terrazzo, and the critical role the NTMA plays in that mission. Through continuing education, technical expertise, and strong industry standards, the NTMA is helping grow a network of highly qualified professionals and ensuring the future of terrazzo remains strong.

Proud to be part of the movement shaping the next generation of craftsmanship and design.
