BDG Architects is helping preserve an important piece of Tampa’s architectural history through the ongoing restoration of St. John’s Church Tower. Designed by Francis J. Kennard, the tower includes a cross that was originally oriented toward Tampa Bay and served as a beacon for approaching vessels. As construction continues, BDG is working to honor the character and history of the original design, including restoring the cross to its historic waterfront orientation.

Happy ! Meet Daniel Teerlinck, Project Manager in our Program Studio.

Originally from Rochester, New York, Daniel began his construction career after relocating to Tampa, Florida following college. With more than 14 years of experience in single-family and multifamily construction, he brings a well-rounded background in project management, production management, and operations management to every project.

Daniel earned his Bachelor’s degree in Business Management from St. John Fisher University. Today, he applies that foundation and his hands-on construction experience to help keep projects organized, moving forward, and focused on successful outcomes.

Daniel and his wife, Sami, now call the Nashville area home, along with their dog, Kirby. Outside of work, he enjoys time with family, golfing, hiking, traveling, and following sports.

We are glad to have Daniel’s experience, collaborative mindset, and leadership as part of the BDG team. Welcome, Daniel!

A colorful look back for . 🎨

The Helios Education Foundation workplace shows how thoughtful use of color can bring energy, personality, and movement into a space designed for connection and collaboration.

Revisiting this project through a Pantone-inspired lens is a reminder that color can do more than make a visual statement — it can help shape the experience of a space.

Exciting momentum is building for Marinova at Coquina Key, recently featured by the Tampa Bay Business Journal as the mixed-use development moves closer to groundbreaking in St. Petersburg.

Planned as a new 15-acre mixed-use community, Marinova will bring together 456 residences and approximately 21,000 square feet of retail, creating a dynamic new destination designed to support both residential life and the surrounding community.

BDG Architects is proud to be part of the team helping bring this vision from design to reality, and we look forward to seeing the next chapter of Marinova take shape.

Happy Team Tuesday!

Meet Andrew Dillon, Project Architect in our Program Studio within our Princeton, New Jersey office.

For Andrew, strong architecture comes from decades of experience across a wide range of project types. From higher education and municipal facilities to healthcare, churches, and private social clubs, he brings deep perspective and practical insight to every project he touches.

A 2001 graduate of Drexel University, Andrew earned his Bachelor of Architecture through a 2+4 program that paired daytime professional experience with evening coursework. That early balance of learning and real-world practice continues to shape the way he approaches design and delivery today.

Outside of the studio, Andrew embraces a work hard, relax harder mindset. He enjoys beach days with his wife and two teenage sons, cheering on Philadelphia sports teams, running 5Ks and 10Ks, experimenting with amateur mixology, and getting lost in a good sci-fi novel.

As Tampa’s Channel District began evolving its industrial and warehouse roots into a vibrant urban neighborhood, Grand Central at Kennedy became part of that transformation.

The two-city-block mixed-use development introduced 392 residences alongside retail, office, community arts and structured parking; bringing new density, activity and a stronger pedestrian experience to the district.

Grand Central at Kennedy helped establish a new model for urban living in the Channel District and set the stage for the continued growth we see throughout the neighborhood today.

A look back at a project that helped shape a piece of Tampa’s evolving urban story!
