The Installation Technician is responsible for completing and assisting with the completion of all
equipment installation and service performed by Accessibility Solutions. The Installation Technician
is responsible for supporting construction and renovation projects as needed. The Production
Technician reports to the Production Manager.
Duties and Responsibilities
Equipment Installation: Have or develop the skills necessary to complete the installation of
all equipment offered by Accessibility Solutions to include but not limited to stair lifts, vertical
platform lifts, door operators, transfer systems, home safety systems, home control systems,
overhead lift systems, vehicle mounted lift systems and other products and equipment that
may be required in accordance with best methods and practices as well as the high standards
and expectations of Accessibility Solutions.
Equipment Service: Have or develop the skills necessary to complete all service and repair
of equipment offered by Accessibility Solutions to include but not limited to stair lifts, vertical
platform lifts, door operators, transfer systems, home safety systems, home control systems,
overhead lift systems, vehicle mounted lift systems and other products and equipment that
may be required in accordance with best methods and practices as well as the high standards
and expectations of Accessibility Solutions.
Renovation: Have or develop the skills necessary to perform all required renovation work to
include fabrication, modification, installation, finish and repair of interior home components.
Skills required include carpentry, drywall, tile, paint, flooring and other trades performed by
Accessibility Solutions in accordance with best methods and practices as well as the high
standards and expectations of Accessibility Solutions.
Operations Support: Have or develop the skills necessary to ensure the timely and
satisfactory completion of ongoing projects by assisting and supporting tradesman and
subcontractors through labor and logistical support in accordance with best methods and
practices as well as the high standards and expectations of Accessibility Solutions.
Training and Supervision: Have or develop the skills necessary to ensure the timely and
satisfactory completion of ongoing projects through training and oversight of employees,
tradesman and subcontractors in accordance with best methods and practices as well as the
high standards and expectations of Accessibility Solutions.
Safety: Have or develop the skills necessary to ensure that all employees, tradesman and
subcontractors are in compliance with all applicable safety requirements and practices at all
times.
Quality Control: Ensure the company’s high standards and customer expectations for quality,
efficiency and job site practices are achieved.
Working Conditions
This position will require work to be completed outdoors and in the homes of our customers as well as
in the main office and warehouse. Accessibility Solutions maintains a climate controlled, smoke free
office. Normal work hours are from 8:30 to 5:00 Monday through Friday with thirty minutes allowed
for lunch. Overnight travel will be required from time to time.
