Storm season is underway, and now is the time to review your organization’s preparedness plans.

That includes checking:

□ Fire alarm systems
□ Security monitoring
□ Camera systems
□ Access control systems
□ Emergency communication plans
□ Backup batteries and power readiness

Facilities using magnetic locks should also make sure staff know how to manually secure doors if extended outages occur.

Prepared systems and informed teams can help support safer operations before, during, and after severe weather.

If your organization is reviewing storm season readiness plans, Redwire is here to help.

06/24/2026

The best time to prepare for hurricane season is before a storm is in the forecast.

Once severe weather is approaching, scheduling inspections, testing systems, or making updates can become much more difficult.

Preparing early can help:

✔ Reduce downtime
✔ Improve safety
✔ Support faster response
✔ Minimize last-minute stress
✔ Extend backup battery life through proper planning

Storm season readiness starts with preparation today.

06/22/2026

Preparing for hurricane season can be especially challenging for organizations managing multiple facilities.

Having consistent monitoring, communication, and security procedures across locations can help teams respond more effectively during severe weather.

Preparation may include:

• Centralized monitoring
• Standardized emergency procedures
• Remote system access
• Backup communication planning
• Coordinated service support
• Shared access control response plans

Planning ahead can help reduce operational disruptions when storms impact multiple regions at once.

06/18/2026

The recovery process after severe weather can move fast, and having a plan in place makes a difference.

After a storm passes, you may need to:

• Restore security systems
• Assess damaged equipment
• Reconnect monitoring
• Verify fire alarm functionality
• Secure facilities during cleanup
• Replace depleted backup batteries

Strong partnerships and preparation can help businesses recover more efficiently and get operations back up and running with greater confidence.

06/17/2026

Security cameras can play an important role before, during, and after severe weather events.

From monitoring changing facility conditions to helping with post-storm assessments, camera systems provide valuable visibility when situations can change quickly.

Now is the time to:

□ Check camera angles and visibility
□ Inspect outdoor housings
□ Confirm recording functionality
□ Verify remote viewing access
□ Review backup power support for network equipment

Well-maintained systems can help keep your organization informed, even during difficult weather conditions.

Contact us today if you’re interested in adding cameras to your security plan or system.

Hurricane season is a good reminder to check your fire alarm systems.

Heavy rain, flooding, power disruptions, and severe weather can all impact critical infrastructure, especially when systems haven’t been inspected or maintained recently.

Routine inspections and testing can help confirm everything is operating properly before an emergency happens.

If your fire detection system needs inspection, testing, or maintenance, Redwire is here to help.

Preparedness starts long before the storm arrives.
