a look at a portrait I completed recently🩶

the client was happy with the end result 🥹

this portrait made me realizing I prefer sketching first with pencil instead of using paint. But it’s definitely challenged me to continually improve on form and proportions. I started out with pencil when making my portraits, SO that’s probably why I’m more comfortable with it. takeaway from this commission: trust the process !

fellow artists: how do you start your paintings? 🧐

if you made it this far - my commissions are open !! contact me if you’re interested in having a custom portrait made 🥰🎨

this past Saturday I had the opportunity to sing a piece with the Sal Martinez Trio (, , ) at the Thin Man Watts Jazz Festival in DeLand, FL! It was a beautiful experience singing with them, and an honor to be a part of this festival for another year.
