🍢 WELCOME BACK, SEMINOLES! 🍢

As Florida State University students head back to class today, we’re excited to share a little first-day sneak peek at one of our latest completed spaces on campus!

The Bio Unit One – 2nd Floor Renovation wrapped up just in time for the start of the Fall semester, transforming the space into a fresh, modern environment ready to welcome students back to campus.

And this is just a teaser… 👀 The furniture is still moving in, and we’ll have more photos of the finished space to share later this week!

🚧 Progress is moving right along at Paxton School! 🚧

There’s plenty happening across the campus as our team continues pushing forward on this multi-phase improvement project for Walton County School District. Recent progress includes extensive site grading and earthwork, new fencing, concrete placement, and continued construction of new athletic support facilities.

From preparing the grounds for the next phase of improvements to putting the finishing pieces in place around the athletic areas, the transformation is becoming more visible every day.

We’re proud to be part of a project that will provide upgraded facilities and improved spaces for Paxton students, staff, athletes, and the community for years to come. Walton County School District, Florida Caldwell Architects

Welcome back, Griffin teachers and staff! 🍎📚✨

Yesterday, the Childers crew had the pleasure of helping decorate the teachers’ lounge with snacks, drinks, and supplies to kick off the new school year. It was a small way to show our appreciation for the incredible educators and staff who pour so much into their students every single day.

A special thank-you to everyone who generously donated items and helped make this welcome-back surprise possible!

We’re grateful for the opportunity to support the amazing team at Griffin and help make the start of the school year a little more special. Wishing all of the teachers and staff a wonderful, successful, and rewarding year ahead!

Last Friday, we treated the hardworking crew at FSU’s Broward Hall to lunch as a small thank-you for their dedication throughout the summer!

The team has been working hard to replace the residence hall’s entire HVAC system, tackling a major renovation on a tight summer schedule. Some crew members even worked through lunch to keep the project moving toward the finish line—so we made sure their meals were ready when they could take a break.

We appreciate every member of the team for their commitment, teamwork and determination to get the job done! 🔧🏗️

This year, Childers Construction is proud to support the amazing teachers and staff at Griffin Middle School! As our team continues work on the new gymnasium and celebrates the completion of the new cafetorium, we wanted to give back in a meaningful way by helping stock the teachers’ lounge and provide much-needed classroom supplies for the new school year.

From July 20–31, we’re collecting prepackaged snacks, drinks, and school supplies to support the incredible educators and staff who make a difference every day.

☀️ Summer break means construction season at FSU!

With campus activity lighter, our team is making great progress on the Collins Building Envelope Repair and Window Replacement Project. Crews are carefully removing and replacing the building’s window systems while completing critical envelope repairs designed to improve weather protection, performance, and long-term durability.

Progress continues at the Knott Building Window Replacement project at the Capitol Complex.

Our team is carefully working from elevated platforms to replace windows and improve the building envelope while respecting the character of this long-standing Capitol Complex facility. It’s detailed work in a high-profile location, and our crews are keeping things moving one window at a time.

As our nation celebrates Independence Day and the 250th anniversary of the United States, we pause to honor the courage, sacrifice, and service of those who helped protect the freedoms we enjoy today.

Childers Construction is proud to have built the Florida WWII Memorial at the Capitol Complex — a lasting tribute to Florida’s World War II veterans and a reminder of the generations who gave so much for our country.

Wishing everyone a safe and meaningful Fourth of July.

As we head into the Independence Day weekend, we’re proud to highlight progress on a piece of local history — the Brokaw-McDougall House Renovation.

This historic property is getting a fresh new look inside and out, with interior painting underway and exterior painting bringing new life back to its beautiful historic façade. Projects like this are a great reminder that construction is not always about building something new — sometimes it is about carefully preserving the character, craftsmanship, and stories that are already there.
