We started Allen Paving & Construction with one belief: East Tennessee's business owners and homeowners deserved a paving company they could actually trust. Not the cheapest. Not the most advertised. The most trustworthy.

A commercial property management group called us about one of their properties. The lot had been going downhill for years — previous vendors had applied thin seal coats over deteriorating asphalt, masking the damage rather than addressing it. 🏢

Our assessment: roughly 35% had base-level failure requiring full removal and replacement. The remaining 65% was structurally sound and needed milling and overlay.

Here's where we are in the calendar:

The remaining weeks of August are still ideal for residential seal coating, crack repairs, and driveway installations. Temps are right, conditions are good.

September starts to get marginal for seal coat work — cooler overnight temps can prevent proper curing.

October seals the window. We simply can't guarantee seal coat adhesion when nights are consistently below 50°F.
