A great build starts long before the walls go up.

Right now, it may just look like footers and concrete — but this is where everything begins.

A solid foundation isn’t the most exciting part of a new build, but it might just be the most important. Getting it right from the start sets the stage for everything that follows.

Because when you’re building something meant to last, there are no shortcuts at the foundation.

Fall Home Owners Tip: Check Your Windows Before the Cold Weather Arrives

Now is the perfect time to take a walk around your home and inspect the caulking around your windows.

If you notice cracks, gaps, or peeling caulk, it’s much easier to repair it while the weather is still warm. Caulk adheres and cures better before temperatures start to drop, and you’ll appreciate not having to tackle the job when it’s cold outside.

If you discover a window that needs to be replaced, getting a head start now gives you more time to order it and have it installed before the snow flies.

A few minutes of maintenance today can help keep your home warmer, more energy-efficient, and better protected this winter.

Follow J. Weisberg Custom Builders for more simple home maintenance tips as we head into fall.
