Construction Term of the Month: Envelope Restoration

A building’s envelope is the exterior barrier that helps protect everything inside from the elements. That includes components like walls, windows, doors, sealants, and waterproofing systems.

Envelope restoration involves repairing and improving those exterior elements to help address wear over time and protect the building from issues like moisture and weather-related damage.

It may not always be visible at first glance, but it plays a big part in protecting the building for the long haul.
