šŸ‘‹ Hey everyone, I’m Doug Brayer! ⚔

I wanted to take a minute to introduce myself and the family behind Brayer Electric LLC.

I’m the electrician you’ll see out in the field, and my wife, Charlynn Brayer, handles the admin side of the business and keeps everything running behind the scenes.

We live right here in Roy, Washington, where we’re raising our two kids, Abby and Kane, along with our crew of 2 dogs and 4 cats! 🐶🐱

⚔ Brayer Electric is a small, family-owned residential electrical company. We handle everything from troubleshooting and repairs to remodels, lighting, panel and service upgrades, EV chargers, generator hookups, and more.

One of the reasons I’m proud to be a small business is that I’m not showing up to your home with a sales quota. With some of the bigger companies, the focus can sometimes be on selling upgrades or services you may not actually need. That’s not how I want to do business.

When I come to your home, my goal is to find the problem, explain your options, and give you an honest recommendation. If something doesn’t need to be replaced, I’m going to tell you. If there’s a simpler and more affordable way to safely get the job done, we’ll talk about it.

Our name is on every job, and our reputation in the community matters to us. We want our customers to feel comfortable calling us again—and confident recommending us to their friends and family.

If you’re looking for a local electrician who values quality work, honest pricing, and relationships over sales, give Brayer Electric a call. ⚔

Every call, referral, review, and recommendation supports our family, and we truly appreciate it!

I always love being part of projects like this! We added two switches to separate the fan/light and used the existing switch for the recessed lighting. Its amazing how much lighting can change a room!

⚔ DID YOU KNOW? ⚔

Installing a ceiling fan? Make sure it’s mounted to a fan-rated electrical box!

Since the 1996 NEC, electrical boxes used to support ceiling fans have been required to be specifically rated for the weight and movement of a fan.

A standard light box is not strong enough and could loosen or even fail over time.

šŸ”§ Brayer Electric LLC — making sure what’s behind your ceiling fan is just as safe as what you can see.

This is how we do it at Brayer Electric! We hand-bend metal conduit instead of PVC whenever it will be visible. If your electrical contractor shows up with a bundle of PVC, give us a call! We will do it right and for a fraction of what big companies are charging.

🐭 Did you know? Mice and other rodents are often attracted to chewing on the sheathing of Romex wiring. Their constant gnawing can expose energized conductors, leading to shorts, power outages, and even electrical fires.

We recently caught rodent damage early enough that the wires themselves were still intact, saving the homeowner from an expensive full rewire.

If you've had rodents in your home, it may be worth having your electrical system inspected. Brayer Electric is here to help keep your home safe.

āš ļø Burnt bus bars and burnt breakers are more than just an electrical problem—they're a serious fire hazard.

We recently replaced this damaged electrical panel with a brand-new, safe, and reliable service panel, giving this homeowner peace of mind and dependable power while bringing it up to current code.

If your lights flicker, breakers trip often, or your panel is outdated, don't wait until it becomes an emergency.

šŸ“ž Call Brayer Electric today for a panel inspection or upgrade!

šŸ‘€ See that broken neutral lug?

This small piece of hardware is responsible for carrying return current for your entire home. When it fails, it can lead to flickering lights, damaged electronics, overheating connections, and even fire hazards.

Fortunately, this issue was caught before it caused major damage. Brayer Electric replaced the home's entire electrical service and got everything back up and running safely.

Sometimes the most dangerous electrical problems are hiding in plain sight.

If your lights flicker, appliances act strangely, or your panel is showing signs of age, give us a call before a minor issue becomes a major one.
