to the summer of 2023, when PCI completed the Hatchery & Beach Shelter project for the Port Gamble S’Klallam Tribe. Located on Julia Point, the 1,800sf hatchery building replaced a single story 1977 garage which had deteriorated beyond repair. The new building provides multiple offices for staff, a conference room, garage, and, most importantly, an egg incubation room. The beach shelter welcomes both tribal commercial fishermen and the reservation’s families to utilize the shelter for cleaning their daily catch, as well as community social gatherings. PCI’s work also included replacing the existing streamwater inlet system and constructing associated site and utility improvements. We’re proud to have been involved in a project that will support the Tribe’s fishing industry for years to come!
