🚽Does your toilet rock or move when you sit down?

It might not seem like a big deal, but a toilet should sit firmly on the floor. Even a slight wobble can be a sign that something needs attention.

Common causes include:
🔸Loose closet bolts
🔸A worn or failing wax ring
🔸Movement that can eventually damage the flooring beneath the toilet

🔧Pipewise Weekly Tip: A rocking toilet won't usually fix itself. Over time, that movement can break the seal between the toilet and the drain, allowing water to leak under the floor where you may not notice it until damage has already occured.

If your toilet shifts or rocks, it's a good idea to have it inspected before a small repair becomes a much bigger one.
