Dwyer Architectural, LLC was founded in 2010 offering Architectural and Interior Design Services.

In May of 2013, the firm was certified as a Woman-Owned Business Enterprise by the state of New York. With offices in Syracuse and Rochester, New York, Dwyer Architectural provides practical and functional design solutions for those they partner, work with and employ.

Our multi-year transformation of Community Memorial Hospital is complete! This phased project began as a study in 2015 and evolved into a master plan that renovated 60% of the hospital – while maintaining continuous operations.
As a rural, 25-bed critical-access hospital, Community Memorial Hospital is a cornerstone of primary and specialty care in the region around Hamilton, NY. Completed in early 2026, the renovation’s final phase introduced a new Physical and Occupational Therapy department, as well as a redesigned main entrance & lobby, and renovated MRI & radiology services.

We’re honored to have been among the nominees for the 2026 AIA Rochester Design Awards, with submissions for the University of Rochester’s East River Road Imaging Offices and the Mohawk Valley Health System’s Outpatient Radiology Suite.

Congratulations to all of this year’s winners, and to AIA Rochester and IIDA Rochester City Center for continuing to elevate design across our region. A rising tide truly lifts all boats! At Dwyer Architectural, we’re committed to projects that create meaningful impact, such as these:

From working with URMC to reimagine a workplace into a flexible, daylight-filled biophilic space that supports the daily wellness and collaboration needs of local healthcare providers – to working with MVHS to create a new build radiology facility that prioritizes intuitive wayfinding for patients while providing efficiency and wellness solutions for staff, as well as strengthening access to care in downtown Utica, NY. These projects reflect the work we care deeply about.

We’re proud to share that our project has been recognized with an Owner Collaboration Award at the 2026 Construction Specifications Institute (CSI) Rochester Awards, held on May 7. The new Interventional Radiology (IR) suite at Upstate Community Hospital transforms underutilized space into a sophisticated, image-guided procedural center.

Strong collaboration between the Owner and Designer was key to the success of the project. Dwyer worked closely with SUNY Upstate Medical University to bring this Interventional Radiology Suite into reality within an active 50-year-old hospital in Syracuse, NY. This project brings highly specialized IR services directly to the local community: improving access to care while enhancing patient outcomes. By strategically phasing work, the project was delivered on budget and ahead of schedule!
