Bruce brings more than 20 years of experience in business and economic development, project management, marketing, and government relations. Throughout his career, he has built strong relationships across the public and private sectors and has been deeply involved in community leadership through nonprofit organizations and public service.

In his new role, Bruce will focus on strengthening relationships throughout Western New York and helping expand C&S's presence across the region.

Great civic design doesn’t start with a building. It starts with a conversation.

For the Village of New Hartford, the process began with a simple question: What should a new Village Hall mean to the community?

Through a collaborative programming and concept study, C&S worked alongside the Mayor, Village Trustees, municipal departments, and community stakeholders to understand how the Village operates today - and, just as importantly, how it may need to operate tomorrow.

Together, we explored the program, challenged assumptions, tested adjacencies, and considered how a new civic destination could connect government services with community life. The process wasn’t simply about determining how much space was needed. It was about understanding how people move through the building, how departments interact, and how the Village can create a new welcoming front door to its civic campus.

That thinking led us to an underutilized piece of property between the Community Center/Ice Rink and the Department of Public Works building - and an opportunity to transform it into something much more meaningful: a new civic heart for the Village of New Hartford.

These renderings are the result of that process. But for us, the real work happened before the first line was drawn.

It happened through questions, conversations, collaboration, and the willingness to imagine what could be possible.

That’s what we believe partnership with C&S looks like: listening first, designing together, and turning a community’s needs and aspirations into a clear path forward.

This past weekend, our Syracuse office proudly partnered with Sleep in Heavenly Peace (SHP) for the sixth time—continuing our shared mission to helping our community. SHP is a national nonprofit dedicated to building and delivering beds to children in need within their local communities.

A heartfelt thank you to the C&S team members who volunteered their time and energy, and to the incredible SHP volunteers who make these builds possible. Your commitment brings comfort, dignity, and a good night’s sleep to so many children.

The New York State County Highway Superintendents Association (NYSCHSA) Summer Conference is always a great opportunity to connect with the county highway professionals who keep New York moving.

During Traffic Safety Awareness Month, we recognize that every safer intersection, work zone, sidewalk, signal, and roadway improvement helps protect the people who use it. At C&S, our planning, engineering, traffic studies, ITS, and roadway design work supports transportation systems that are safer for drivers, pedestrians, cyclists, and workers and stronger for the communities they serve.
