!!!Important tips for snow and freezing temperatures!!!
Our service men team is snowed in as are many of you all, due to this, please help us out by completing some simple tasks to keep your heat up and running during the snow event we are currently working through.
Tip 1-If you have a heat pump system be sure to clear the snow from around your outdoor system. This is a quick task that will help your system maintain temperatures for your home.
Tip 2-If you have a gas furnace, either as part of a dual fuel system or as your only source of heat, make sure that if you find ice around your furnace exhausts to remove this ice buildup to allow for proper airflow.
Tip 3-This goes with the gas furnace users, most furnaces now produce water as a by product of being extremely efficient, make sure that your drain line stays clear of snow and ice to prevent buildup!
Tip 4-As the temperatures drop this evening, if you have a gas fireplace, a gas monitor heater, or wood fireplace. Help your heating system by operating these while awake and relaxing. If you turn these heat sources on, you can switch your thermostat fan mode to “on” or “circulate” and this will let your heat system help distribute heat from one location in your home throughout other rooms.
Any of these tasks can help your furnace or heat pump to continue operating properly through out the cold temperatures that we are going to see over the next few days!
