Tradesmen! Listen up! I hear a lot of people talking about how the younger generations don’t want to work. That they are looking for easier, softer ways. I bet our dads, grandad’s, great grandad’s and generations before us said the same. What I have found is there’s more kids willing and eager to learn than there are that’s not. Do they need some “encouragement” from time to time? Absolutely!
Maybe, just maybe, some of the problem is us “old timers” don’t have the patience and/or the ability to teach and coach.
It was Friday. It was hot. I wanted to get the job done, go home, eat ice cream and rest my bones. But, there was a little voice telling me “just let them do it.”
