Enjoying the product of what I put together every day is one of my favorite things about Deeply Rooted!
I honestly never have a plan for each planter BUT it always works out. I don’t spend a ton of extra time laying out planters for each customer.
And that’s the fun of it for me - being CREATIVE! My trailer full of flowers is the pallet; as if I was painting a picture, I pick the colors and varieties, and like an artist, it falls into place.
I wish it was a “put together” process but it’s how I roll. And it works well so far!

I hope you enjoy the finished artwork!
I love it and really feel passionate about giving the customer something that makes them happy!

Weeks of work shown here…..it takes way more time to buy flowers, unload, fill planters with dirt etc, than to actually plant them because it comes so naturally to me!
They are not perfect and that’s part of the beauty!! Some are matching, some are what I have left over from a different job but they always go together and fit like a piece to a puzzle 🧩!

In memory of my mom, Kay, my grandma Icel & my mother in law, Kathryn, I used pinks & purples for my front porch planters 🌸🪻

They all cross my mind almost daily -
My mom was kind, generous, loving & not afraid to pray with anyone she met on the street (we have a few stories about that). She always wanted more for my sister and I, and continually encouraged us to try new things and to not be afraid of stepping out of the box. 🩷
My grandma Icel was where my mom got a lot of her qualities. My grandma loved having us around, she loved having meals together, she could always make us laugh & was slightly spicy 🌶️ 🤣. Every visit I made to her little home, she would have butter and saltines waiting for me 🩷
My MIL Kathryn loved me like her daughter. She made me try squash one of the first times I met her (which I hated but did it to try & get in good with her 😉). She always had cookies in the cupboard, which I ate my fair share of, and we had many “day dates” when I’d pick her up and we’d go to Dollar General, or Wendy’s or just for a drive. 🩷

I planted these pots at 9:30 last night and didn’t have a plan at first, but was drawn to the pink Ge**er Daisies, the pink Gaura & the purple Gomphrena and it struck me that those would have been the colors they all would have enjoyed.

Ahhh, the beautiful days with sun & breezes! I am SOOO happy winter has said it’s goodbyes 👋🏻!

Planting is in full swing! 👍
Every year, I am reminded how much I love getting my hands in the dirt, picking out flowers for customers, making gorgeous planters and seeing people 😃!

A sweet story…..a customer contacted me to have me plant pots for her friend who had just been through major surgery!

I’m Soooo Excited for next week!
It’s the annual Spring Planting event!

This is a fun time! We get out hands dirty, we plant beautiful flowers to enjoy at home, we chat with old friends and new, we have a drink to celebrate a fun night, we have the best snacks AND we get to enjoy a nice early summer evening!!

There is so much to love about this night and the connections we create!
The lovely Lauren Chalupsky-Cannon from the The Secret Cellar will tell us about her shop and all the EXCITING things going on there, my long time friend Carla Boeckenstedt-Werning with Carla Werning, Licensed Realtor at Ruhl & Ruhl Realtors will tell you how awesome the market is right now for real estate and how we really love doing these events together!

Come join us! We sincerely love seeing the faces of those who join us each event AND meeting great new people from our community!

And I am genuinely grateful for time to do what I LOVE to do - planting!

Reminders of spring all around me!!!
Summer IS coming 😊 and that makes me so happy! The warm sun, flowers galore, playing in the dirt. It’s calming, & I love the peace that being outside brings me.

If you are looking for help with your landscape beds - maybe you don’t know where to start or you don’t know quite enough about plants or shrubs or trees - give me a call ☎️.

I love designing landscaping for customers!
I will come talk with you, figure out what you need for your spaces and give you a reasonably priced estimate. There is a lot of competition in landscaping currently, but you need to have someone who knows plants, sun exposure, deer resistance, soil issues, how to trim plants etc!

I have been a plant lover since I was a kid, helping my parents on our property.
I grew to love working with my husband in the yard, trying new plants, watching it grow (or not grow 🙃), and finding what I loved to do later in life!

I have worked at a local nursery for 13 years now, & gained a ton of knowledge.
My business is 8 years old and I still love finding new flower varieties, helping people choose what to add to their planters or gardens, and just getting to know people and their needs. Customers are really important to me and I have a great base of people that trust me and continue to request me coming back to their homes.

A near perfect Saturday ☀️!
If this doesn’t get you excited for planting season, I don’t know what will!

In about 5-6 weeks, Deeply Rooted will be digging in the soil, getting planters filled, and creating beautiful arrangements for your porches, decks, sidewalks and front door areas!

Just a huge “Thank You” to all who came out to the Plant Swap & Plant Bingo 🪴 tonight at the Kava House and Cafe!

Always a fun time calling bingo numbers, talking plants, chatting with new friends and those we’ve known for a while, snacking on the amazing desserts Kava House provides, and just being together in community!

I love this little business I’ve created and those around me that support it! Events are such a fun way for me to reach new people, to share my knowledge and to get to do what I love!

Have you heard??

It’s Plant Bingo time again! With a twist 🔀!

We added a Plant Swap too! Each person that registers will need to bring a labeled 3-6 inch rooted and propagated plant, either in a vase with water or in dirt. Everyone gets the chance to pick out a “new” plant baby to take home 🏠! Your collection of 🪴 🪴 🪴 grow AND you get to have fun chatting with others who share your love!

Then we move into several rounds of
Plant Bingo - a little competition, many laughs, and you’ll learn about the hosts of these events!

Happy New Year!
Blessings as 2026 begins!
I wish the best for all my family, friends and customers!

I appreciate the continued support for my small business and loyalty from so many!
Year 8! ❤️Unbelievable to me that I have been planting, consulting, teaching and learning for this many years. And this “something” that was literally a thought on paper with a rough drawing for a logo came alive!
I have loved plants & flowers as long as I can remember, and to be doing it almost every day as an owner is unreal. I don’t wake up and take it for granted;
I sometimes say I don’t think I can do it today because I’m busy or life is full, but I do and I will continue to.
Yep, my car is a little dustier than I would like it to be, my paperwork gets behind
(one of the challenges I intend to work on in 2026), and I can’t always tend to my own plants at home as much as I would like.
BUT I have met the best people, I have shown myself I can do hard things (even when they are really hard), I have had so much fun doing events and seeing people light up when they take home a planter or a propagation. Having people message me and say the gift they purchased for a friend was perfect, or that the planter that sits beside her son’s cross is lovely.
Those are the reasons I do it.

***PLANTER IS SOLD!***

Happy Holidays All!
It’s been a snowy, chilly start to December!

I have ONE pre made winter planter left for sale! One of my markets was canceled and I had this beauty left l so I am hoping to find the perfect person for it! An awesome gift for a friend, mom, aunt, sister or co worker for the holidays!

Evergreen planters last through most of February! They give your porch or step or walkway a bit of JOY since it’s a little dreary outside! This particular one has the pops of red…..berries, stems and poinsettias!
It’s a great size for a smaller space as well.
You water it in when you set it outside and this freezes the soil so it is heavier and so the pieces don’t move around and it helps it stay hydrated.
I water again at the beginning of January and beginning of February to keep it set in place.

I have sold a lot of planters this winter….its been wonderful to provide some extra happiness for my customers!
