1 of 2 new skylights got installed today, i may have burnt my hand on my metal bender after it sitting on the roof but hey we are half way there.

These velux Co4 Skylights have solar powered shades for those days that the sun is just a little too much, kind of like today!

Built and installed an access hatch today on my new 36 step ladder 😂

This was a fun one, we stripped all the siding to reveal no house wrap, windows un-insulated, rot under every window, the gable ends had plywood ending without framing.

We cut out and replaced all rot, cut access in to the attic threw the gables and re framed the exterior wall so we could actually nail in siding(previous siding was stapled in these sections) Insulated all windows

House wrapped and taped

Installed insulation board

Installed upgraded .044 siding with white trims to make it pop

New white soffit and metal wrapped facias

Installed a nice blue colored shutters

We installed 2 new exterior light fixtures to finish off the new look

Oh did i Mention the 3' snake that fell out of the soffit on me, then the next day it was back up behind the chimney

Today on the discovery channel. We discover plywood with no framing

Started with a half finished project,

removed the underlying rot and replaced it

Repaired the decking that was lifting up in several areas

Jacked up the framing to install some 6x6 supports

Moved the 6x6 posts to the proper positions

Removed the existing stairs and framed in new

Installed lattice and Azek

Installed soffits and facias

We will be going back to wrap some trim with aluminum and finish off the top row of siding under the porch roof
