👽 Custom Predator Mask Complete! 👽
A customer sent me a picture of what they wanted, provided a few measurements, and I took it from there. After making some adjustments for fit and getting everything dialed in, this incredible Predator mask hit the printer.
🖨️ 55 hours of printing later and the results speak for themselves. The detail in this piece is absolutely amazing, and seeing it go from a picture to a wearable mask is what makes this hobby so rewarding.

🐉✨ Sometimes the best projects start with a simple wish.

A young girl wanted a 3D printed dragon and kept asking her dad if he could find one. Like any good dad, he set out on a mission to make it happen.

That's where Black Swamp 3D came in.

Just over 6 hours of printing later, this incredible crystal dragon came to life. Measuring over 2 feet long and printed in a stunning tri-color silk filament, it shifts between vibrant shades depending on the light and viewing angle. The articulated design allows it to coil, pose, and even wrap around an arm.

But the best part isn't the dragon.

It's knowing that somewhere a little girl got the dragon she had been dreaming about, and dad gets to continue being the hero.

That's what I enjoy most about custom printing. It's not just plastic and filament. It's bringing ideas to life and creating something that puts a smile on someone's face.

What an incredible way to wrap up the H.O.O.V.E.S. season!
I had the honor of attending the H.O.O.V.E.S. season finale and presenting a few custom Black Swamp 3D creations to Amanda and the amazing team behind H.O.O.V.E.S. as a small token of appreciation for the dedication, passion, and countless hours they invest in helping veterans heal.
H.O.O.V.E.S. (Healing Of Our Veterans Equine Services) is a nonprofit organization based right here in Swanton that uses horses and equine-assisted programs to help veterans, first responders, caregivers, and their families work through PTSD, trauma, and life's challenges. Their mission is centered on turning post-traumatic stress into post-traumatic growth while providing support, education, and a community that continues long after the program ends.

The event was a powerful reminder that healing doesn't happen alone. Through the dedication of their staff, volunteers, and supporters, veterans are given a safe, therapeutic environment where they can reconnect, rebuild confidence, and know they have people standing beside them every step of the way.
Black Swamp 3D was truly honored to be a small part of this event and to contribute something meaningful to an organization that is making such a difference in the lives of those who have served our nation.

As a veteran, this event means a little more to me than just another community gathering.

Many of us who have served carry things that aren't always visible. Organizations like H.O.O.V.E.S. (Healing Of Our Veterans Equine Services) are making a real difference by helping veterans, first responders, and their families find healing, purpose, and connection through equine-assisted programs. Their mission is to help participants move from post-traumatic stress toward post-traumatic growth through the unique partnership between people and horses.

This Saturday, May 31st, H.O.O.V.E.S. is hosting their Horses for Mental Health Celebration at their sanctuary in Swanton. There will be live music, food trucks, community connection, and the always entertaining "Kiss the Pig" fundraiser.

If you're looking for something to do this weekend, stop out and show your support. If you can't make it, I encourage you to take a few minutes to learn more about what H.O.O.V.E.S. does, read some of the incredible success stories, and see how you can help through donations or volunteering.

Their programs have impacted hundreds of veterans and first responders, and they continue to provide these healing opportunities at no cost to those they serve thanks to community support.

Spent part of Memorial Day weekend creating a few projects that hit close to home. 🇺🇸
✔️ Designed and printed a custom Ohio State football field display to celebrate a family’s daughter heading off to college this fall.
✔️ Made several laser engraved RFID wallets with custom military and patriotic themes.
✔️ And one of the more meaningful projects… I was honored to attend the Memorial Day parade in Swanton and engrave brass casings from the American Legion’s 21-gun salute.
That’s one of the things I enjoy most about BS3D. One day it’s custom wallets or sports displays, the next it’s helping preserve a moment that actually means something to someone.

Not every 3D print has to be flashy or just for fun…sometimes it’s about solving everyday problems and keeping life organized.
These heavy-duty 3D printed wall hooks got backpacks up off the floor and finally cleaned up the clutter. Then there was the Shark Genius wet mop that constantly fell over in the closet…so instead of fighting it every day, I designed a custom wall hanger for it too.
That’s one of the things I enjoy most about BS3D, creating practical solutions that just make sense. Sure, the fun prints, tumblers, and custom designs are awesome, but functional prints that make everyday life easier are just as satisfying.
