We spent the morning with an amazing group of Atlanta-area real estate agents β€” talking decks, repairs, remodels, and how we help their clients get homes ready to sell OR enjoy for years to come.

Real talk. No fluff. Just honest assessments from a contractor who actually knows what to look for. πŸ”

If you're a realtor who wants a contractor partner you can actually trust β€” reach out and we'd be happy to schedule a visit or get you what you need. We'll bring lunch. πŸ˜„

Progress update on a full bathroom remodel.

Today: electrical.
We're replacing all the switches, adding gimbel lights over vanities, combining the shower fan and light into a single unit, and moving the water closet switches to make room for the new shower niches.

Every trade is sequenced, every change is intentional, and nothing gets closed up until it's inspection-ready.

Stay tuned β€” tile phase is coming and it's going to be πŸ”₯

Most people only see the "before/after." Figured we would show everyone some progress. πŸ‘€

Basement bathroom gut & remodel β€” rough plumbing phase. Two supply lines relocated, drain moved, copper replacing old CPVC, and everything staged for inspection.

This is what separates a quality remodel from a headache waiting to happen.

⚠️ 2 stories on a basement. A covered deck. A full roof. All sitting on 2x4 walls (basement level).

Yeah. We were nervous too.

This Roswell home had bowing walls, split joists, and a deck dumping thousands of pounds onto framing that was never meant to handle it.

Our team went in, reinforced the interior walls with 2x6 framing, sistered the damaged joists, and then built an independent post-and-beam system so the deck no longer relies on the house for support.

Now it's solid. Code-compliant. And safe.

Sometimes a remodel isn't just about making a space beautiful. Sometimes it's about making a space safe for the people you love most. πŸ’™

This basement bathroom was completely transformed for an elderly couple who are making the lower level their new home β€” so their daughter can move into the main floor and keep family close.

Here's what we did to make it work for them:
β™Ώ Walk-in soaking tub with door entry β€” safe, accessible bathing
🚿 Full grab bar system throughout
🚽 Smart bidet toilet seat β€” comfort and independence
πŸͺ¨ New tile flooring β€” slip-resistant and beautiful
🎨 Calming blue walls + stunning handmade subway tile surround
πŸͺž New white vanity with vessel sink + updated fixtures
πŸ’‘ Recessed lighting throughout

This family came to us with a real need, and we delivered a space that's safe, dignified, and genuinely gorgeous.

That's what we're here for. Not a myth β€” real results. 🦢

From bare walls to beautiful kitchen. 🏠✨

This lower-level transformation started with nothing but open space, fresh flooring, and a dream. Our team came in, designed the full layout, installed custom shaker cabinets, quartz countertops, a stunning blue subway tile backsplash, and built out a dedicated laundry station β€” all in one cohesive space.

This is what we do at Bigfoot Contracting. Full-scope remodels, done right, in the Greater Atlanta area.

Sometimes the best solution is a custom-built one. πŸ”§

This commercial client needed a clean, organized way to mount thermostats and building controls β€” so we engineered exactly that. Custom metal stud framing with plywood panel faces, built right into the space and ready for their equipment team to go to work.

No more gear on the floor. No more messy installs. Just a clean, purpose-built solution that works.

That's the Bigfoot difference β€” we don't just build, we solve. πŸ’ͺ

The family wanted two beds and more storage in the same room.
We built the whole thing on site β€” queen over queen, beadboard inside each bunk, curtain panels, reading lights, and a bookcase alongside it. The stairs have pull-out drawers built into each step. That part was the mom's idea, and it's probably the most useful thing in the room.

The homeowner wanted a fully functional kitchen in their basement. There wasn't one β€” not even close. Concrete floor, unfinished walls, no plumbing, no electrical.

We framed the tray ceiling, formed the peninsula wall, cut through the concrete for the plumbing, and roughed in the electrical before anything else happened. The cabinets came after all of that was done.

The kitchen ended up with dark charcoal flat-panel cabinets, Calacatta quartz, hex tile backsplash, and matte black fixtures. The metallic epoxy floor runs through from the hallway.

This is one room in a basement that now has two full bathrooms, a laundry area, finished rooms throughout, and this kitchen. The whole lower level was built from an empty concrete slab.

Swipe to see where it started.

Bathroom #2 of our Basement Remodel.

The homeowner needed a space that worked for everyone in the family β€” including ADA accessibility. The shower is curbless for easy entry, and the vanity is wall-mounted with open space below for wheelchair access. We later added a few grab bars for the toilet (rear & side) and more grab bars and a folding bench for the shower.

They also had a vision for how it should look. The navy vanity, the blush walls, the brushed gold fixtures. We built the space around both β€” functional and finished the way they wanted it.

Part of a larger basement build we've been working on.

More coming this week. ➑️
