PSA!!! - Worth the read! THIS IS MY PHOTO

This photo was taken approximately one month ago at a customer’s business after observing an active arc in their subpanel. I was there to troubleshoot a piece of equipment and needed to access the panel.

They just recently moved into the location. The local fire marshal signed off on an inspection. They had no reason to believe there were any potential fire hazards

I can’t stress what I’m about to say enough:

If you move your business into a new dwelling - GET YOUR ELECTRICAL PANEL INSPECTED!!

If you move into a new home (new construction or existing) GET YOUR ELECTRICAL PANEL INSPECTED!!

If you experience flickering lights - GET YOUR ELECTRICAL PANEL INPECTED!!

If you upgrade lighting in your home - GET YOUR ELECTRICAL PANEL INSPECTED!!

If your breakers trip often - GET YOUR ELECTRICAL PANEL INSPECTED!!

This issue was quickly on its way to causing a death. What you can’t see in this picture is the 800 volt panel sitting next to this subpanel.

Please take a minute and think about the last time your panel was inspected.
