This week is my last full week being pregnant. By the end of next week, I’ll have met my son and our family will be complete. I’m feeling a lot of mixed emotions, from sadness to relief to a little bit of anger. This pregnancy hasn’t been anything I planned for from start to finish but as long as I have our son healthy in my arms, I can say it’ll be worth it. I’m praying for a successful c-section, no NICU stay, and a smooth recovery. 🤍

A little pumpkin is on the way 🎃 My husband and I are only a few short weeks from welcoming our baby boy into the world and got to celebrate with our close friends and family over the weekend. We were blessed with decent weather and surrounded by love. This pregnancy has been stressful with my husband being gone for work the first half and having some complications recently but I’m hoping it all works out and baby J arrives healthy and safe and sound. We can’t wait to meet you baby boy 🧡

Some plant updates because I never post on here anymore. Yes, I still have plants and no, most of them are not doing well 😂 Having to care for my toddler alone for the last few months while pregnant has been difficult to say the least but the finish line is near!
1. My HURC is probably one of my hardest to care for plants. It gets edema super easily and is a super slow grower. I finally got a new leaf after what seems like forever.
2. & 3. My solanum uleanum is thriving despite neglect but I definitely need to figure out a long- term solution for staking it.
4. Hoya Linearis has taken off and is one of my favs in my collection. I have two pots and I’m contemplating putting them together but I’m terrified of them shocking
5. Hybrid from .baybe is thriving on neglect and finally gave me another new leaf. I desperately need to do repots on the majority of my collection but I just can’t find the time.
6. Alocasia pink black velvet is doing surprisingly well despite still being in stratum. I also need to move this one to semi hydro / Witch’s brew but I’m scared of losing it
7. After my daughter plucked ALL of the buds off of my Thanksgiving cactus, it’s blessed me with tons of new flowers

Anthurium Updates from my story last night 💕
1. Anthurium Bessae AFF x Lux from : This baby completely rotted back to just a stump but is making a nice comeback now in my Milsbo
2. Anthurium (Not the Mama x Forgetii) Nigrolaminum Gigi from : my favorite anthurium! Got moved to the cabinet and is blessing me with DARK foliage now and the roots are going nuts
3. Anthurium Crystallinum x Pap from : blessing me with nice striking veins
4. Anthurium Forgetii x (AOS x blue velvet) from : chopped this baby up into two plants and this bottom cut is giving me nice elongated leaves with a nice vein pattern
5. Anthurium Pap x Forgetii from .planteria : probably my fav out of the three papgetiis I got. Super dark with amazing texture when it’s hardened off.

Our Christmas just got more magical ✨ Baby #2 is on their way and our family will be complete 🥰 This has been one of the reasons I haven’t been posting much; I’ve been dealing with super bad morning sickness and pretty much have been in bed most days exhausted. My plants have definitely taken a hit but growing this little bean is more important right now 💕

No filter needed. My fav plant finally give me its first leaf since moving it into my Milsbo. I also just about 💩 myself when I realized I left three plants bottom watering all damn night. Fingers crossed they don’t completely rot 😭

Can I get a HOYAAAAAAAA?! Or 50? 😂 Last summer I was flabbergasted that people would even buy Hoya and now here I am, buying almost nothing but Hoya. I’m an anthurium girly through and through BUT Hoya don’t throw a fit when I leave a lil water in the drip tray, run a day behind on water, or touch their leaves when hardening off 😒 Another change has been switching all my Hoya to semi hydro. I had some rot a while back and have been experimenting with pon instead with great results and less guesswork with watering (plus less gnats 🙏🏾). Here are a few of my most recent purchases and trades:

1. Hoya Curtisii -
2. Hoya NP 016 -
3. Hoya Lacunosa Silver Lime -
4. 2 hoya Bella varieties from
Trades:
1. Hoya Burtoniae var.
2. Hoya Elliptica
3. Hoya Chouke
4. Hoya Mathilde
5. Hoya Enduaensus

It’s just a baby (Clarinervium) 🥹 Ever since I started doing bottom cuttings of plants and separating offsets, I find myself obsessed with the tiny baby seedlings. When I first got into anthurium, I started off with decent sized plants that were more established but now I feel a lot more comfortable with smaller ones. The only gripe I have is that they dry out faster but keeping them in a humidity dome or in my cabinet has eased that headache. I’m beyond excited for the Plant Swap / Sale this weekend at 🥰 This will probably be my last swap until the fall. I can’t handle the heat at all. Who else is going this weekend?

Hoya & Anthurium Watering Day Updates 🌱☀️

My Hoya are pushing lots more growth and FINALLY sunstressing for me! All the plants I put in my Milsbo have responded well and I’ve gotten plenty of new leaves, including growth on my mid and butt cuts! After they push their second leaves I’ll be listing a few Crystallinum x Papillilaminums and a Michelle 🥰
