As we continue to monitor the spread of COVID-19 (coronavirus), we want to update on the latest steps we've taken to help minimize the impact of COVID-19 on our customers, employees and the communities where we operate.

First and foremost, we are strictly limiting the contact that our crew has with our customers. Until U.S. Health Officials indicate the spread of Covid-19 is no longer a threat, Joe will handle all customer contact on jobsites, while continuing to practice safe distancing. In addition, employees’ temperatures are taken and documented every day. At no time will any employee be permitted to remain on the premises or work on site if an elevated temperature is present.

Our crew is disinfecting items such as tools, steering wheels, and door handles on a daily basis in addition to hand sanitizing practices and distancing themselves from customers. Our employees are practicing social distancing as much as possible while working.

We intend to continue construction work as long as the government permits. During that time, any crew member not feeling well or who has been exposed to the Covid-19 virus will not be permitted on the job site, or in our shop. In addition, should any worker on our crew test positive for Covid-19, our entire crew will suspend operations and self-quarantine according to CDC guidelines.

Burdette Builders’ business office has been closed. Email and voice mail will be checked periodically, and payments/paperwork can be dropped off in our lock box, located to the left of our office door. Situations requiring in-person meetings will be arranged on a case-by-case basis. Once health officials indicate it is safe to relax social distancing protocols, we will revisit our office situation.

We are all living in uncertain and precarious times. We will do everything we can to provide our customers with the service and product they expect while also following the best safety practices we can. Our customers’ loyalty and understanding during these times is greatly appreciated and does not go unnoticed. Your cooperation with social distancing and complying with Gov. Holcomb’s “Stay At Home” order makes a difference and will help us all to return to business as usual. Stay safe, and stay 6’ apart!

Our office staff is working from home the majority of the time. Our office phone is being forwarded and will be answered during our normal business hours of 7am-5pm. In addition, email is monitored every day. Situations requiring in-person meetings will be arranged on a case-by-case basis.

Burdette Builders will be temporarily closed until March 2, 2020. During this time, emails and voice mails will be monitored, but our crew will not be working and the business office will be closed.

We apologize for any inconvenience and look forward to returning in March!

Burdette Builders will be closed Monday, December 23 through Wednesday, January 1 for the Christmas and New Year's holidays. We thank you for your business and friendship throughout the year and wish you a warm, Merry Christmas and a wonderful start to 2020!

For the second time in recent months, we have been made aware of circumstances that are very concerning to us. It appears that there may be someone out there doing work and claiming to be Burdette Builders/Joe Burdette. In both cases, the work performed was shoddy at best. In one situation, the person was fired from the job after failing to properly set trusses, which ultimately fell, and in the other situation, the customer lost $30,000 due to poor workmanship, faulty practices and damages. These incidents occurred in the Rising Sun, IN and Bridgetown, OH areas.

At Burdette Builders, all jobs are documented by a contract. In addition, all of our vehicles are lettered identically and have our phone number on them. Except on rare occasion, all of our crew members wear company shirts/hoodies. Our owner, Joe, is on the site 99% of the time. You will never be asked to write a check to an individual... all payments are to be made to Burdette Builders. If there is ever any doubt, just ask Joe to show you his ID, or call our office at 812-623-3044 and ask to verify that our crew is actually at your site.
