In recognition of Construction Safety Week, our team participated in a safety briefing led by Cache Valley Electric while visiting the nearly complete galvanizing mill currently under construction at Nucor Steel Berkeley.

The briefing focused on electrical safety, including NFPA 70E classifications, rescue equipment, and best practices for identifying and mitigating job site risks.

At Thompson, safety is at the forefront of everything we do—not just this week, but every day. We are committed to protecting our teams and maintaining safe job sites at all times.

Thompson Construction volunteers spent the afternoon at Liberty STEAM Charter: A School of Inquiry, Innovation, & Impact, teaching 5th graders measuring techniques and introducing isometric drawings (ISOs) through a hands-on build-your-own pipe project.

This activity was a follow-up to last month’s visit to Thompson’s new fabrication facility in Sumter, giving students the opportunity to apply what they learned in a real-world setting.

It’s always a joy to see students engaged, learning new skills, and building confidence for the future.
