Safety is a priority on our MUSC Health Nexton Medical Center project, and Thompson Turner Construction and Rodgers Builders, Inc. are taking that commitment a step further.
The 74-bed hospital will bring a range of healthcare services to the Nexton community. Designed by Liollio Architecture, the facility will include operating rooms, labor and delivery, advanced imaging, recovery and support spaces, a cancer treatment center, and an emergency helipad.
Given the scale of the project, our team elected to participate in South Carolina OSHA’s Construction Cooperative Partnership (CCP) program, bringing OSHA onto the jobsite as an accountability partner and active member of the team.
A recent onsite signing formalized the partnership and reinforced the shared responsibility required to maintain a strong safety culture throughout construction. Greg Thompson, CEO and President of Thompson Construction Group; Hal Turner, Vice President of Thompson Turner Construction; and Eric Reichard, President and CEO of Rodgers Builders, were on hand to recognize the partnership.
Through the CCP, our team will work alongside SC OSHA to identify risks, strengthen safety practices, share lessons learned, and continuously improve throughout construction.
We are proud to lead this effort with SC OSHA and set a high standard for protecting the people building a facility that will serve this region for years to come.
