This is what years of sediment buildup inside a water heater looks like 👀

Over time, minerals from hard water settle at the bottom of the tank and harden into thick sediment layers. That buildup reduces heating efficiency, restricts water flow, causes rumbling noises, and forces the unit to work overtime just to produce hot water.
