Camellia Sasanqua or Camellia Japonica — it's one of the most common plant questions we get on North Georgia properties. Here's the short answer.
Both are beautiful. Both perform well in this climate. The difference is bloom time.
Camellia Sasanqua blooms in the fall. Camellia Japonica blooms in late winter to early spring. Knowing which one you want means having color exactly when you need it — and possibly year round if you plant both.
