Labor Day Weekend – We’re Still Here for You! 🐝🛡️

Happy Labor Day from all of us here at The Bug Blaster!
While our phones will be going to voicemail this holiday weekend, we are still available for emergencies.
Our office staff and technicians are on standby and ready to help — especially with those aggressive wasps that love to show up when you’re trying to enjoy the long weekend!
Voicemails are checked often, so leave us a message and we’ll get back to you as quickly as possible. We are also going to be availible on Facebook Messenger.

Our promo also still stands through October. Any new customer with a residential property that gets serviced, 5% of the total of that service will be donated back to the Veterans and their families at the end of the spray season!

🐛 Strawberry Root Weevil Alert for Gardeners & Homeowners! 🐛
Noticing ragged notches on the edges of your strawberry leaves… or finding small dark beetles crawling around your house this summer? You may have strawberry root weevils (Otiorhynchus ovatus).
Adults are about ¼ inch long, shiny black to dark brown, with a blunt snout and rows of tiny pits on their backs. They cannot fly.

What they do:

Adults chew distinctive notches in leaf edges (usually minor cosmetic damage)
Larvae (white, C-shaped, legless grubs with brown heads) feed on roots underground — this is the real problem. Heavy root feeding can stunt plants, reduce yields, or even kill them
They also love moisture and frequently wander indoors in summer, showing up in sinks, bathtubs, and basements.

Management tips:

Hand-pick adults at night (they’re nocturnal feeders)
Cultivate soil in fall or early spring to disrupt larvae
Keep weeds under control around plantings
Beneficial nematodes can help control larvae in moist soil
Indoors: vacuum them up — they’re harmless and temporary visitors

Happy Thursday Bug Blaster Crew!!!
WOW this week has FLOWN by while doing last minute prepping for Fall Services to start! As we were going through our calls, emails and facebook messages- We recieved a notification of a new review. When we get a Google review, we shout out the tech it is for in the company group chat to make sure our techs are being reconized for their hard work! Well today it was for our newest tech, Richard 🤩😍 We are so amazed at how much our techs continue to show up for our customers, both new and old!

This past week we had a refresh done to our landscaping thanks to GJC Pro Lawn Care!!! Owner Giovanni and his team were amazing and worked hard to make our landscaping pop again. He even came back the day after completion to make sure everything was looking good, and even watered for us! We cant recommend him enough for your landscaping and lawn care needs! Our hearts go out to everyone impacted by today’s devastating tornado. These are our neighbors, and now is the time for our community to come together and help those in need.

Our team will be making a donation, and we’d like to invite our customers, friends, family, and the entire community to join us.

If you have any of the following items to donate, please send us a message. If needed, we can pick up your donations and deliver them to the relief drive on Saturday, where they will be distributed to the affected families.

We will be collecting donations from now through Saturday. Any donation, big or small, is greatly appreciated.

TODAY IS YET ANOTHER AMAZING DAY HERE AT THE BUG BLASTER!
However, today is extra special. We had received an email this morning notifying us that, for the 6TH YEAR IN A ROW, we have been honored with winning the Best of the Bay!!! Thank you to all the amazing community members that voted daily to push us to the top! Without you (and our amazing staff!), we would not be here year after year. You guys are the reason we are able to come to work every day knowing we are making a positive impact on the lives of those we service. As a local family ran business, we pride ourselves on the happiness of our customers and the quality of our services.
