Small detail, MAJOR foundation risk.Take a look at this before-and-after from a quick project we knocked out in Hudson this morning!The old setup (left) had a broken, improperly fitted adapter where the sump pump discharges. Every time the pump kicked on, water leaked straight back down into the dirt right next to the foundation wall. Over time, that hydrostatic pressure causes cracked basements and burnt-out pumps.We extended the solid core PVC and locked it down with a heavy-duty, correctly sized reducer fitting. Now the system flows perfectly, the basement stays dry, and the mulch bed looks completely untouched.No job is too small when it comes to keeping water away from your foundation.
