Day 5 of Installing a Septic System... All of my hard work has officially been covered with dirt. The topsoil has been respread and graded. A power rake attachment was used on my skidsteer to break up the clumps of soil and remove most of the rocks. I then hand raked those hard to reach areas and spread lyme, fertilizer, and grass seed. Day 4 of Installing a Septic System... The connecting line was installed connecting the tanks to the field. This system is equipped with a pump to send the effluent liquid up tot the drain field. Day 3 of installing a Septic System...Dig and prepare area for new septic tanks. After the new tanks were delivered and set, I had the old tank pumped out, then I collapsed it in place. After hooking up the new tanks to the house I finished out my afternoon in the drain field. I installed the clean stone and lateral piping in the field and set the distribution box.
