This motor arrived at Ace with severely damaged windings. Our rewind team removed the failed winding, installed new copper, and carefully formed and laced every coil to prepare the motor for dependable service again.

A quality rewind is about more than replacing wire. It takes precision, experience, and attention to detail at every stage.

A variable frequency drive is only as reliable as where it sends its braking energy.

The Ace Automation team was out in the field this week installing an external-mounted dynamic braking resistor on an Allen-Bradley 753 VFD running a wastewater centrifuge. A centrifuge is a high-inertia load - when the drive slows it down, that energy has to go somewhere. An external braking resistor gives it a safe path to dissipate as heat, instead of pushing the drive's DC bus toward an overvoltage trip.

For a wastewater operation, that's the difference between controlled, dependable stops and nuisance faults on critical equipment. This is the controls and field-service side of what we do - not just motor repair.

Another motor rebuilt right here in Stockton.

Every winding gets tested. Every time.

Before a rewound stator leaves our shop, it goes through electrical testing — concentric and lap windings alike. The work isn't finished when the coils are in. It's finished when the readings prove the motor will run reliably under load.

This is what reliability looks like at the bench: verifying insulation integrity, confirming circuit balance, and catching anything that could turn into a midnight outage three months from now.
