Project Spotlight: 35-Ton Self-Contained Unit Replacement
Replacing a system of this magnitude within a confined mechanical room requires precise ex*****on. Our technicians navigated tight spaces and a demanding timeline to remove the old unit and install a new 35-ton United CoolAir self-contained water-cooled system.
Due to the limited clearance, the project demanded intensive labor and coordinated rigging to handle the modular assembly and complete the swap with minimal facility downtime.
The new system features VAV operation, digital scroll compressors, and plenum fans with EC motors. For smart building integration, it is equipped with microprocessor-based DDC controllers and BACnet communications cards to connect seamlessly with the building automation system.
This before and after video shows three different angles of the project, highlighting the tight working quarters, the technical installation, and the teamwork required to execute large-scale commercial replacements cleanly and efficiently.
Excellent work by everyone who worked on this project to deliver a precise installation under tight job site conditions!
