Don’t let this happen to your roof and gutter systems on your metal shops! Not only does this render your gutter useless as the water drips down the side of your building, and into your foundation, whether it be concrete set poles, or a unipour slab. 
The ice and snow also create a glacial activity, pressing against your gutter and eventually popping it loose from your building, making for costly repairs.

Attention DIYers! Please don’t do this or allow your contractor to do this! You gain no benefit by having more than 2” overhang on your eaves and if you intend to install gutters in the future, their performance will be greatly handicapped! This is 6” k- style gutter with 5 1/2” overhang. It will be costly to cut this roof back.

For those considering new siding on their home please take note. I have always told people the only thing better than Diamond Kote siding is either brick or stone. Many tell me that they are considering stucco even though it cost more. The pictures below show a house that just went through our recent hailstorm. The other picture is an example of steel siding and of course we all know what vinyl siding looks like after hail storms. Another house in the same vicinity that we installed Diamond Kote received zero damage whatsoever. Get with me if you are serious about making a huge improvement to your home and incredible increase in your homes value!
