Curious what’s going on here? 🤔

Nope, we didn’t run out of stain halfway through! 😂

This photo shows a small test area of stamped concrete that Trae stained before moving forward with the entire sidewalk.

When restoring and recoloring existing decorative concrete, we always want our customer to approve the final color combination before we commit to staining the entire surface. Water-based concrete stains can be deceiving—the color immediately after application can look considerably different from the final tone once the stain has completely dried.

That’s why we prefer to apply a small test area first, allow it to dry completely, and let the customer see the color on their actual concrete before making the final decision.

Every existing slab absorbs stain a little differently, so a color chart can only tell you so much!

A little extra patience now can prevent a whole lot of “Well… that’s not quite the red I was picturing.” later. 😂

Just kidding, sometimes things just don’t go as planned! Whether it’s delays caused by equipment breaking down, material delays, or the lovely, unpredictable weather that we get to deal with here in the Midwest… it’s always something!! But we do what we can with the card we’re dealt, and try our best to keep a positive attitude! After all, we’re doing what we love to do 😃
